Quarry Brow Day Nursery

Nursery in Barrow

THE WEB SITE IS CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED DUE TO CHANGES IN WHAT WE OFFER, AS OF JULY 2021 WE NO LONGER OFFER WRAP AROUND CARE OR CLUBS FOR OLDER CHILDREN.

Quarry Brow opened in 2004 and is based in a local primary school in an area that has been purposely adapted to allow a full day care provision to operate. The nursery is privately managed and run,in line with Ofsted requirement.

The building is an intimate setting with only three rooms, one specifically for babies and toddlers, one for children aged between two and three and a room focused on pre-school education, with these two rooms having open access to each other.

The nursery is Ofsted registered so has set requirements that must be adhered to, ensuring the children receive excellent care and education in a safe and secure environment, the Ofsted report is available to read on the Ofsted website. The nursery is also registered on both the early years register and the childcare register. We are registered to offer both free 15 hour provision to two year olds and 15 or 30 hour provision for three year olds. If you require more information on this it can be requested or is available online via the childrens and families information services.

We fully support children with additional needs and/or disabilities. Staff have experience in supporting a wide range of needs, we have also several staff who have completed Signalong training to support children with limited or no language, the nursery manager has completed extensive training for speech and language support.
